Air Mauritius 762 broken down in OZ!
Hi Everone, Just to let you all know that Air Mauritius B767-23B (ER) 3B-NAL has broken down here in Perth, West Australia. The aircraft arrived on Tues 29/08 from MRU operating flight MK940, however prior to departure for the return leg the aircraft's number 2 engine sustained a broken accelerator cable situated near the engine's mounting point. Parts were flown in last night by Air New Zealand from Auckland and Qantas from Sydney this morning. Passengers and freight departed on flights operated by SAA & MH to JNB and Kuala Lumpur yesterday. The 762 is now re-timed to depart for Mauritius 'crew only' at midnight (WST+8) tonight. Regards, Greg Wood Perth/WA
