AN 225 in Cape Town
I believe that the AN 225 is going to be visiting CPT end of this month with our (Western Cape) electricity. Anyone know dates? Time will apparently be 01H00 due to aircraft too large for taxi ways and will be offloaded on the runway. I hope that the offloading of the 200 ton cargo will be delayed so I can get someone to take a pic of the departure in day time. Bob

I am afraid this won't be happening. ESKOM has decided to move the giant rotor for Koeberg by sea and road since Koeberg will not be ready to receive it until May!

It is a pity....I live 400kms from Cape Town but I would have driven there no problem. I worked at JNB Intl for many years and the day the AN22 arrived it was my day off. Boy, was I upset!
