CPT - MPM
25 July 2006 SAX links CPT and MPM SA EXPRESS is launching a new twice-weekly service between Cape Town and Maputo. The flights will launch on October 2 and will be operated by CRJ aircraft. Siza Mzimela, SA Express ceo, said there was growing demand from both the business and leisure market for a service between the two cities.

Good news - great to see more regional services developing with Southern Africa. Still would like to see CPT/DUR - HRE, DUR-WDH and CPT/DUR - NBO services launched. May be pie in the sky sadly though. Sean

thats a nice start for mozambique, it also wld be nice to see the CRJ used on the JNB-HRE route as well.

Would a CRJ have the range for CPT-NBO? If it does I am sure it is just a matter of time until we see it!

There we go: Flights will start the first week of October, using CRJs. Operated on Mondays and Thursdays, flight times are as follows: SA1785 CPT - MPM: 1325 - 1545 SA1786 MPM - CPT: 1630 - 1900 Hope they do well on the route! Cheers, Felix
