I am one of those rare optimists, could be all African final, Ghana vs Ivory Coast :twisted: Anyway, it is a little tought to call but I think it will be a first time winner this time around as the soccer power seems to have shifted (if the performance of some of the minnows so far and in the qualifiers is anything to go by). Yes go Ghana go black stars but without Essien it will be difficult to win against Brazil. But good luck for Ghana.

In my view, all the African teams have done the continent proud, if we assess the perfomance by the quality of football exhibited and not from the final match result. Even the tiny nation of Togo was very impressive (in my view the French were really lucky to scrape the 2-0 win). The Brazil-Ghana match will be a tight contest. It should be noted that the current Ghanaian team twice beat the current Brazilian team during the Under-17 world cup! This could be the psychological advantage the Ghanaians need to set the world champs aside. Cheers, Walter.
