JKIA's Landing Fees the Cheapest in Africa Hi there,
according to the Kenya Airports Authority (KAA) the landing fees at Jomo Kenyatta Int. Airport in Nairobi are the cheapest of all airports in Africa.
The landing fee for a Boeing 737 at JKIA is $223 compared with $517 in Johannesburg, $420 in Khartoum and $480 in Harare and less than most major airports in the world including the UK ($910); United Arab Emirates ($240) and India ($320), too.
On the other side cargo operators compalin about much higher rates (about 25 US cents per kg) compared to other major airports in Africa (Jo'burg charges 20 US cents at average).
So there are always two sides of the medal. Still I can not believe that charges are so low compared to Khartoum and Harare.
Cheers,
Felix
