New Airport for Luanda Taken from Skyscrapercity's African Airline News Forum, great news.
For those who have travelled to Luanda know that the international airport is a complete mess, so the government has finally decided to build a new huge airport. It should be built at the cost of 2$Billion US-Dollars and work will be entirely done by a Chinese construction firm. Work has already begun. I have read it in several newspapers...the only problem is that there are no renders and no images to be found of how the airport will finally look like. 2$Billion is enough money to build a decent airport....Maybe somebody finds some renders on the project.
Angola seems to be on a purple patch at the moment - brilliant news for SouthERN Africa!! Hopefully the aitrport will be filled!!

I am sure that the situation in Angola will improve within the next years. A new modern airport is always a good sign that there is money in the country that can be invested.
Cheers,
Felix
PS: Kudos for yesterdays match against Mexico!!!

US$2billion!! Given the fact that the works will be done by a Chinese firm (with respect to their lower pricing structures), this should be a super-decent airport. Good news all the same.
Cheers,
Walter.
