Oman Air suspends DAR and ZNZ
WY news says that it will end DAR and ZNZ routes on 17/2 due to high costs of operation and high competition in MIddle east route. this means EK will be major player in Meddle east as now deploy A343 in DAR route

The problem was cargo,Oman air fly 737/8 To ZNZ/DAR which have few cargo space while EK have more cargo space as a major source of revenue on that route, But to be honest WY flight was almost full all over the year

Opps today i find out about the behind decision of why Oman Air Suspends the flights to Tanzania. There was one of the leader who plan to visit to Oman with his family without applying visa to Oman, They board to the flight up to MCT and when they are in MCT the Migration refuses to give the permit . They got angry, They think that All countries operates the same system as they do. They stay at the airport until next day when the Oman Air depart from MCT to ZNZ/DAR . When they came home they force the Authority to suspend Oman Air to operate in Tanzania and due to Mis management they allow it to happen. This is how African leader leads their government.

Well, the Oman is not really in Africa. Anyways that really is a stupid thing to do. Especially for Oman Air, one of the smaller carriers in the region... If they can afford not to serve the route, then they should do thing like that. Cheers, Felix
