Spam user accounts
Hi there, as you might have noticed there is a little problem with spammers abusing the forum. I believe through some kind of program they register, only to advertise their -often abusive- websites. What to do? Delete them all by hand (around 2 to 3 a day)? I tried to set up a registering system where you have to type in a security-code seen on an image, but somehow the image didn't want to show... So what shall I do??? Felix

After I solved the problem with the registration process more or less, I am now busy to delete those spam accounts. Hopefully this will not take more than a few days (its nerve-killing handwork to delete every single account...). So don't wonder if the number of user decreases dramatically (I hope not too much). Oh dear... I don't know if it is just my browser but there are now 3 inaccessible spam messages in the news section of the forum. I would delete them if I could access them but when I try to open them nothing loads. Sean

Same here, I really don't know what to do about it... Can't do anything via the administration panel either... Felix

I have been having the same problem. I managed to delete a couple of spam posts but I cannot even open the others. Maybe we have re-strategize. Cheers, Walter

Using the link "You can moderate this forum" at the bottom of the NEWS Forum page, I managed to delete those posts. So we are back to normal. Thanks for the efforts Walter! Cheers, Felix
